We provide your cat with fresh bedding and will change it as required.
We also provide scratching boards, play tunnels and toys to keep your cats amused, in addition to daily interaction and grooming sessions. You are however welcome to bring anything you wish to the cattery to help your cat settle and enjoy its stay.
The units are south facing and have a nice outlook onto the garden, which provides plenty of visual stimulation for the cats. We have bird tables situated in front of the cattery to attract the birds and in the evening we have numerous wild rabbits in the garden, giving our cat visitors hours of entertainment.
Every cat staying with us receives individual attention including daily ‘fussing’ & grooming or just spending time sitting and talking to them. This proves to be extremely beneficial in helping the cats feel secure & comforted whilst staying with us.
Cats and kittens that have never stayed at Happy Cats before may be nervous, every care will be taken to make sure their stay with us will be as stress free as possible and kittens will be given as much playtime as possible.
To encourage stress-free living for your cats, we provide relaxing background music in the cattery.
“There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a nervous cat whose owner worried that it would never relax…play happily with a ping pong ball.”
All food is provided, and we have a variety of different brands of both dry and wet cat foods which should satisfy even the fussiest eaters. If your cat is on a prescription diet or has other special requirements, we would ask that you provide any special foods and we will be happy to feed this according to your instructions.
All cats must be fully vaccinated against Feline Infectious Enteritis and Cat Flu and a current vaccination record card, signed by a vet, must be shown when the cat is admitted to the cattery. If you are not sure whether your cat has the necessary vaccinations, please contact your vet for advice. If your cat is not suitably vaccinated we do have the right to refuse admittance as the well-being of our existing boarders is of our utmost importance.
No cat will be admitted if it appears to be suffering from an infectious illness.
Adult male cats must be neutered.
Guests that require special treatment and medical attention are no trouble to us. Our vets are on call 24 hours a day but if your cat comes to us with a special medical condition, then we liaise with your own vet if help or advice is needed. If emergency veterinary care is required during a cat's stay with us, the full costs of the veterinary care will be for the owner's attention.
